Discover how Nuke and Mari helped create Peter Rabbit

Combining a mix of visual effects and modern animation techniques, Peter Rabbit is a great showcase of what the team at Animal Logic can do.

The end results are undeniably impressive, but the road there wasn't easy: shifting deadlines meant a huge amount of work had to be completed in a short time, and they set the bar high in terms of the level of realism they wanted to achieve.

To get there, the team relied on Nuke to automate huge chunks of the process so their artists could spend their time doing what they do best.

They also harnessed the power of Mari to paint at the high resolutions and detail required for creating ultra-realistic CG characters, including fully feathered birds and, of course, a lot of rabbits.
