All Foundry products are now available on annual subscription

London, December 21 2023 – Foundry, the leading developer of creative software for the Media and Entertainment industry, today announces the completion of the transition to a subscription-based model. All Foundry products (including Nuke, NukeX, Nuke Studio, Hiero, HieroPlayer, Katana, Flix, Mari, and Modo) are now available on an annual subscription basis.

Foundry’s transition to subscription pricing aims to provide customers a more flexible way to purchase, with a lower initial cost. Each new subscription purchase of NukeX and Nuke Studio will continue to include two free Nuke Render subscriptions to help customers with provisioning render farms.

Subscription customers enjoy all the same benefits as perpetual license owners, with a choice of either offline or online login-based licensing system, and floating rights enabling multiple artists or machines to share the same license.

As of December 31, 2023, new perpetual licenses will no longer be available for Foundry products. Customers with existing perpetual licenses can continue to maintain these licenses, and will continue to receive product updates and technical support, ensuring a seamless user experience.

After this time, it will also not be possible to bring any licenses with expired maintenance back onto active maintenance, apart from Modo maintenance for individual users - which can be purchased here
